Five minutes from Bull Mountain finds you at the beautiful Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge for a one to three mile level hike, also along the Tualatin River, teeming with wildlife.

Real estate on Bull Mountain features all housing types -- including new construction single family homes, condos, and townhomes, mostly to the west in the River Terrace area of Tigard. Bull Mountain also retains many original quality-built homes in the central and east end of the mountain on quarter to two acre parcels or larger.  

Bull Mountain was originally homesteaded by farmers in the mid to late 1800's. Later it became a go-to area for professionals wanting a nice getaway outside the city, only ten miles from Portland. Development began to take off in the late 1960's with the expansion of the Tigard Water District, which permitted homes to develop without the need for private wells. Public sewer also became available, although a number of the original homes may still be on septic systems. 

Today, prices on Bull Mountain range from $300,000 to well over $1,000,000, depending on lot size, views and amenities. Bull Mountain also offers several well-managed apartment communities.
